Polkadoodles Christmas but not a card

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. All our challenges are

Anything Goes

while for an added challenge the DT's are featuring Christmas makes that are not a card.

For my DT inspiration, I decided to make an advent calendar, just in time for December next week. My daughter and I have been trying to focus on eating healthily so the normal chocolate advent calendars are out this year. I think she will like this one though, I have filled it with all sorts of fun little gifts.

Each little box is big enough to fit some lovely gifts, and I did include a couple of chocolates:

I decorated each box with papers and cut outs from one of the design sheets from the Winnie Winterland collection.

Don't forget to check out the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog for some more fabulous  DT inspiration. We would love you to join us for our Anything Goes challenge, you might like to follow the optional "not a card" theme. If you need some more inspiration you might like to browse our Facebook page.

Polkadoodles challenge - F is for...

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. All our challenges are

Anything Goes

while for an added challenge the DT's are adding something starting with F to our makes.

For my make, I decided to make a card with flowers in the background and I couldn't go past the lovely papers from the Winnie in Wonderland collection. Now if you don't want the whole collection, you can just buy the background papers in sets - the papers I chose are from Winnie Wonderland Paper Heaven 6. I printed my background on bright white paper using my Canon inkjet Pixma printer - one thing I love about these papers is how bright the colours are and how much detail is in the background - they are so pretty. I layered the paper onto some green card and then onto a larger white card that I punched a fancy edge on using an around the page punch set.

I then printed one of my favourite fairy - Serenity Princess and coloured her in with my copics. The colours I used are: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, C00, C1, C3, Y28, Y23, Y21, G20, G0000, YG00, RV14, RV34, R21, RV0000, E57. E55, E53, E51.

To finish off my card, I added a triple bow and a white rose, and some little pearls to the fairy crown.

Polkadoodles challenge - Add Texture

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. All our challenges are

Anything Goes

while for an added challenge the DT's are adding texture to our creations.

I have had another really busy week with work this week and I need to take a thank you gift to a friend who helped me out. I decided a pretty gift box with their favourite chocolates would be a fun gift. I also used a star shape, because they were a shining star in my week.

Here it is:

I started with some plain pale pink card and cut out the stars. Then I embossed one star using an starburst embossing folder. By cutting some strips and scoring and folding them before gluing them around the edge of the stars, I made a top and bottom for the box.

I wrapped some lace around the edge and added a cute topper from the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime Collection, along with some paper flowers and a button from the Winston Deluxe collection.

Here you can see the inside:

And one more look:

Polkadoodles challenge - Anything Goes

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is

Anything Goes

For my DT inspiration this week, I decided make a special chocolate sliding gift box.

Here it is:

All the papers in my project came from the Winnie Fruit Punch Big Bundle
To make the flowers, I stamped the flowers, leaves and a sentiment from Daisydays SME in dark brown ink onto some of the patterned paper and then fussy cut them out. I then added a clear crystal button as the centre of each flower.
I used oval punches to make the gift tag, and then added a topper from the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime Collection.

When you pull up the bow, your special sweet treat slides out.

Happy stamping until next time...
