Polkadoodles challenge - Summertime

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is

Summertime

For my DT inspiration this week, I decided to use the gorgeous stamps from the Summertime and Daisydays collections.

I stamped one of the Summertime flowers in gold over my red card as a background and then stamped the same image in red over some white card as a background. I then added a layer of summery orange vellum. I then stamped 2 butterflies and a flower and coloured them with copics, before fussy cutting them and adding them with a bright red bow.

The card is a sliding pop up card that I learnt to make in a class many years ago when I first started stamping.

Here is my card:

The copics I used are: Y12, Y14, Y15, Y35, Y38, R22, R24, R27, R89.

The best thing about these cards is they easily lay flat for folding:

And here is another side on view showing the pop-up:

Happy stamping until next time...

Polkadoodles challenge - Add ribbon or twine

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is

Add ribbon or twine

Sounds so easy, but I always struggle to add twine to a card.

For my DT inspiration this week, I decided to use another fabulous image from the   'Winnie in Wonderland' collection which I printed out and then coloured in with my copics. The image I chose this time is none other than Winnie Wonderland Cheshire Cat. I also used some of the gorgeous background papers included in the collection.

Here is my card:

The copics I used are: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, B00, B01, B02, B04, B06, Y0000, Y00, Y04, YG25, YG03, YG67, YG63, R85, R83, R81, E59, E57, E55, E53, E77, E74, E71, E99, W00, W1, W3, W5.

I used an Oval die cut to cut out my image and layered it on a second oval that I wrapped with some twine. Then I layered this on to a fancy oval die cut using Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance Nestabilities.  The backing card was edged with Martha Stewarts Around the Page punch - Cherish. To top it all off I added a hand tied bow and some more twine linking some tea time charms I had in my stash.

Happy crafting until next time....
