Polkadoodles Not a Card

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. All our challenges are

Anything Goes

while for an added challenge the DT's are making something other than a card. For my make I decided to create a Christmas wreath using flowers I printed from the Twiggy and Toots Festive Collection. I shaped the leaves and petals and  added some kindy glitz to the edges of each petal. I combined 3 flowers of different sizes to make a single flower, and added a pearl button embellishment as the flower centre.  I added some glitter to the leaves for some more sparkle.

I used an embroidery hoop as the base for my wreath and used my hot glue gun to glue the flowers, leaves, gold lacy embellishments and bow on the hoop.

Here is my wreath:

Polkadoodles Challenge Winter Blues

Hi everyone and welcome to another brand new Polkadoodles Challenge. All our challenges are

Anything Goes

while for an added challenge the DT's are following a theme of Christmas or Winter. This is a strange theme for me, when this week has been filled with hot Summer days in Sydney and next week they are predicting heat wave conditions.

For my DT Inspiration this week I used a pre-coloured image and papers from Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I printed my papers and cut out snowflakes using my Silhouette Cameo. I used a sentiment I found in the Silhouette store and printed it on the background paper before cutting out the top layer.

I then printed one of the pre-coloured frames from the collection to add to my card and finished the snowflakes with some pearl embellishments.

Here is my card:

Happy crafting until next time....

Polkadoodles white with a touch of colour

Hi everyone and today I am sharing some inspiration for the latest Polkadoodles Challenge. As always, our challenges are

Anything Goes

with the DT's are creating something white with a touch of colour. I chose to make an easel card.

For my touch of colour, I took inspiration from a patterned paper from the Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun collection. I loved the subtle teal snowflakes, and what better match than the lovely Beary Family image from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I coloured my image with Copics.

Polkadoodles - Not a Card

Hi everyone and today I am sharing some inspiration for the latest Polkadoodles Challenge. As always, our challenges are

Anything Goes

with the DT's are bringing a little Christmas spirit and creating something that isn't a card.

Today I made an ornament using one of the pre-printed tags and frames from the Winnie Winterland collection.  I combined a background paper, the joy tag and Christmas garland using my graphics program on my PC I then printed it out and used a scalloped circle die to cut out my ornament. I also cut out another scalloped circle of dark grey card to make a backing. I added a gold ribbon to use to hang it on the tree.

Today I made some Christmas tags using some of the Tags and Frames from the Winnie  Winterland collection.

Here are my 3 tags.

These were so quick and easy to make and I got to use up left over bits and pieces from my embellishments and ribbon stash. I'll have to make a few more before Christmas and Polkadoodles makes it so easy!!!

Here are my tags a little closer

Polkadoodles Christmas Candy Cane Tag

Hi everyone and today I am sharing some inspiration for the current Polkadoodles Challenge. As always, our challenges are

Anything Goes

with the DT's continuing the Christmas theme!!

Today I used a pre-coloured digi image - Hollybobs Mistletoe and some background papers from the Work and Play 5 - Hollybobs Festive collection
For my card this week I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the candy cane, sentiment label and Hollybobs Mistletoe and then put them all together to make a Christmas tag. I then added a red bow, though I think I need to get some darker red ribbon next time.

Polkadoodles Anything Christmas

Hi everyone and today I am sharing some inspiration for the current Polkadoodles Challenge. As always, our challenges are

Anything Goes

but this time the DT's are starting to get in the festive spirit and feature Christmas!!

Today I used a pre-coloured digi image - Hollybobs Santa from the Work and Play 5 - Hollybobs Festive collection and some background papers and a flower from the Festive Christmas collection.
Before I printed my image, I layered it over the background paper pattern so I didn't have to fussy cut out the lovely fine details. I then printed all my papers out on white card stock and cut them out with some fancy square dies to create a little bit of interest to my card shape.

I was going to stamp a sentiment, but at the last minute, decided to print out the flower embellishment from the collection and add it to my tag - at least it was easy to fussy cut with scissors. All in all 7 separate layers on this card.

Polkadoodles - Red White and Blue

Hi everyone and today I am sharing some inspiration for the current  Polkadoodles Challenge. As always, our challenges are

Anything Goes

but this time the DT's are featuring Red White and Blue.

Today I used a pre-coloured digi image - Scooting Around from the Horace and Boo collection. I printed it out on white card and cut it out. I chose a base layer of dark blue card and a background paper from the Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection.  I then added some flowers and a red bow. I was going to add a sentiment, but it didn't seem to fit, so I left it off.
